Sophie Caroline Hill

I work in mixed media; painting with acrylic paints and oils paints and using text, paper, fabric and ‘real’ objects to helps create illusion and experience through art. 

 

I have a degree in Fine Art and worked as a teacher of art, before starting a family ten years ago. Raising a family has provided the inspiration for much of my paintings and the domestic subject matter. With views of the home, Still Life paintings and objects used to create a narrative of life within and around the home.

 

I aim to create an engaging experience through my art work and challenge the viewer to reflect on the world we live in. Exploring my world through my work should provoke personal reactions in the viewer, depending on their own experiences and world view.
